Nineteen fish were registered Friday as the sturgeon spearing season on Lake Winnebago headed into its final weekend.

One fish larger than 100 pounds was taken, a 100.1-pound, 67.1-inch F2 registered at Payne's Point station by Kane Olson of Neenah.

No harvest caps will be reached on the big lake, meaning the season will go its full 16 days and end at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

Totals by harvest category:

Lake Winnebago: two juvenile females, six adult females and 11 males. Total for the day, 19; total for the season, 1,043.

System-wide: Total for the season, 1,376.
