This buck (scoring about 160 inches) jumped off of the Washington Avenue bridge south of Marshfield on December 8.
The deer had walked past the field office of some highway workers at noon. At 2 p.m. these workers received a call from another worker that a huge buck had jumped from the bridge onto the new Highway 10 slab, according to Al Rinka, Osseo.
A woman driving over the bridge said that she believed she had scared the deer and it had jumped to its death about 40 feet below. The buck landed nose first, but didn't damage its antlers.
The buck had jumped horizontally almost 30 feet.
