Two elderly Eden women remain hospitalized following a two-car accident on May 1.

Lorraine Ryan, 79, of Eden, was listed in critical condition Monday morning, according to a spokesperson with Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.

Her passenger, Alice Wood, 76, of Eden, was listed in good condition, said a St. Agnes Hospital spokesperson.

Ryan was northbound on Pioneer Road near Grove Street when a vehicle driven by Joseph Morales of Fond du Lac crossed the centerline and collided head-on with Ryan, according to the Fond du Lac Police Department.

Morales, 32, was allegedly distracted by a ringing cell phone.

He was cited with inattentive driving and for knowingly operating after revocation–causing serious bodily harm.
