The DNR has confirmed a number of cougar sightings in Wisconsin on their site. Click the 'sightings' tab to view details and photos from 2012 and 2011.

Confirmed sightings in Forest, Buffalo, Trempealeau, Jackson, Monroe, Iowa, Ashland, Waushara and Marathon counties.

Photos and details from these sightings can be found in the collection of photos included above.

The DNR hosted an online chat about cougars with Adrian Wydeven, carnivore ecologist, and Jane Wiedenhoeft, assistant carnivore biologist on December 5.
