Anglers from 11 countries will hit the ice at 9 a.m. today for the first round of competition in the World Ice Fishing Championships.
The ice fishing portion of the tournament at Big Eau Pleine Reservoir west of Mosinee will end at noon. A trade show and kids ice camp will follow at The Plaza Hotel until the official weigh-in begins at 3 p.m.
The championship continues through Sunday, and ends with an official award ceremony and closing banquet at 6 p.m. at The Plaza.
