Its been a long time since we've been able to fish on the frozen water during deer season...let me tell you, THIS IS AWESOME!
Its great to be back in my element and I'm excited to be bringing new videos each week for everyone to enjoy and learn some new tactics that will help you all on your next adventure!
With everything going on in my life, its been hard to get out and concentrate on some filming. We had a baby girly yesterday, (December 4) the house has been remodeled as we try and sell it and the boat winterization season has finally come to an end.
The ice around the Fox Valley area has started to form quite nicely and we should have very stable ice after this cold spell. I will be back out after the ice show in St. Paul next week to check conditions. The rain did hurt the ice a little bit but with the extreme cold, it should heal quickly. The bays and channels did have about 4" with a few spots around 6" before the rain.
Bluegills, perch and crappies are all up in the bays and channels and some guys were brave, taking some wheelers out on Poygan in search of some walleyes.
Check back next week and I'll have some fresh video of some new products from the Ice show...until then, if you get out this weekend, stay safe, dry and please chime in on facebook with some ice conditions and how you did!
Tight Lines Everyone!
Mr. Bluegill, Troy Peterson, brings you his Bago Bites, a weekly video report on fishing in Northeast and Central Wisconsin along with whatís new in the fishing industry.
