I came across a number of turkeys on my way home from work on Tuesday. Fortunately, they were in a 'posing mood.'

These photos were taken just outside of Madison shortly before sundown. I'm amazed at the amount of wildlife activity you can find at this time of the year. The lack of leaves and taller grass make it much easier to get a clear view of what's out there.

Browse sandhill crane, prairie chicken, snowy owl, pelican, loon, goose, eagle, whooping crane, tundra swan, heron, turkey, cardinal, blue jay, woodpecker, hummingbird and other bird photos.
