Recently, I was asked to host fishing clinics with a local group that like to explore the Coulee Region.
With the season opener coming up next week, I decided to focus the first clinic on trout.
Eight adults, five children and a doodle dog came to Mormon Coulee Park located on La Crosse's south side to learn about trout habitat, stream restoration, learn about rules and regulations and most importantly learn lure selection and how to catch this mysterious fish.
Upcoming clinics will include bass fishing by kayak, cranberry marsh fishing, another trout clinic and a salmon fishing trip.
Following clinics will be Kayak Bass Fishing, Cranberry Marsh Fishing, another trout clinic, and a salmon fishing trip.
