NEILLSVILLE — The Clark County Forest ATV/UTV trails south of Highway 10 have reopened after being closed due to the weather.

The trails are still wet and vulnerable to damage from excessive acceleration and speed, according to information from the county Parks and Forestry department.

Please ride responsibly to help reduce maintenance costs and avoid resource damage. Off trail riding is strictly prohibited, according to the information.

A 2.5 mile section of the trail system from intersection 19 (Koehler’s Ford Forest Road Web Center) to intersection 20 (Eau Claire County line) remains closed for repairs. The Eau Claire County connector also remains closed. There is no access to Eau Claire County ATV trails at this location.

Clark County ATV/UTV trails are subject to periodic closure. Check the county website at for updated trail information. Clark County ATV/UTV trails close October 31 each year.
