Area schools Lomira, Waupun and Mayville and six other golf teams braved the rain to compete in Tuesday's division 2 regional meet at Castle Course at Northern Bay in Arkdale, where the weather shorted the meet to nine holes instead of 18.
After placing fourth at regionals a year ago, the Campbellsport golf team was happy to bump up a couple spots on Tuesday.
The St. Mary's Springs golf team came into Tuesday's Division 3 regional meet as the favorite and certainly expected to win.
The hardest part for the Fond du Lac golf team may have been the wait.
Fond du Lac at FVA meet: The Cardinals chose the season's biggest meet to date for their best one, shooting a season-low 316 at Wander Springs Golf Course in Greenleaf.
Flyway Conference championship: The St. Mary's Springs golf team wrapped up a successful 2013 season with a first place finish in the Flyway Conference meet at Rolling Meadows Golf Course Thursday, winning yet another conference title.
EWC meet at Whispering Springs: Sheboygan Falls wrapped up its dominant season with a conference championship after winning the EWC meet at Whispering Springs in Fond du Lac.
