It was a banner evening for Fond du Lac boys track & field at Thursday's WIAA Division 1 Sectional meet at Oshkosh's Titan Stadium, where the Cardinals claimed team championship by a 22-point margin in the 15-team competition.
It's been a stellar season for St. Mary's Springs track and field, and Thursday evening was no exception.
At Whitewater, the Waupun girls finished ninth while the boys finished 11th in the 28-team invitational.
Just a week after finishing third and fourth in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference track and field meet, the Waupun teams responded well and came out strong in Monday night's WIAA Division 2 Regional meet held at North Fond du Lac.
Monday was another big night for St. Mary's Springs track & field, as the Ledgers boys and girls teams each won a championship in the WIAA division 3 meet at Princeton.
