Mountain bike race: The Cable area invites cyclists to participate in a 20 or 25 mile race. The course covers remote logging trails, gravel roads and technical single and rough double track. Trail work: Join the BSC Roving Trail crew as they construct new segments on the North Country Trail at Solon Springs west of Highway 53. There will also be camping in the Bird Sanctuary. Hike, bike, ride: Take a guided hike to celebrate Trails Day from 10 to 11 a.m. Bring water and sturdy shoes and meet at the Egret Trail boardwalk parking lot off of Highway 49. Explore the marsh by bicycle or auto during the Tour de Marsh from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This bike and auto ride can be done in any weather all year long, but on this date, food stands will be posted around the circle of the marsh.
